Golden celebrations

Melton Borough Council Chamber at Parkside was packed on Sunday (July 16th) when Ian and Dina Neale celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Church friends and family watched the couple renew some of their wedding vows during the 10am Parish Communion Service and then joined them afterwards for a buffet and drinks to celebrate with them.

The couple wish to express their thanks to everyone for their gifts, cards, kind thoughts and best wishes, to Carol Sloane, Cafe Manager at the Samworth Centre, and her helpers for the lovely buffet, and to their daughter Celia and grandson Alexander for making their beautiful celebration cake.

The day before was the official anniversary and the couple celebrated by taking a quick look round St Mary's Church, Melton, where they married on July 15th, 1967, and then enjoyed a celebration meal with family and friends at Launde Abbey.
