WITH just under SIX weeks to go the doubters WILL be proved wrong and work on St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, will be finished by the November 24th deadline in time for this year's spectacular Christmas Tree Festival.
And that has to be down to the superb job done by the hard-working, skilled team of men from Midland Conservation Limited who have put their heart and souls into transforming St Mary's Church.
The fantastic Flemish candelabra are now in place in the Chancel. The pendant lights are up and the floor inside the church, which has proved a mammoth task, is laid. There is just the floor in the porch to lay now. The picture above shows an electrician putting the finishing touches to one of the pendant lights. The picture below is a general shot inside the church. The font is back inside the church and the West inner door frame has been put back. Now the big clean-up has started. For more details and to view pictures taken on Monday (October 16th)click here.

*Jacqui Wilson and Trisha Nutter are arranging prayer for the reordering project. They will meet fortnightly on different days and times to pray for 10 - 15 minutes somewhere around the outside of the church. They will use open prayer, to pray for pertinent areas of work at that time and will have a 'Re-ordering Prayer' on sheets for others to join in. Anyone can join in - just turn up. The dates are Thursday, 26th October 9.30am; Monday, 6th November 9.30am. We meet on grass by the Vestry door. Please share with any interested people. To view the 'Re-ordering Prayer' click here.
