There are also Family Services at St Mary the Virgin church, Thorpe Arnold and St James' church, Burton Lazars, as well as Junior Church and various other clubs for pre-schoolers.

For information about this week's services, please see our Schedule of Services.
Xpress is a wonderful enrichment programme for children of primary school age for children (Key stages 1 & 2). The aim of the group is to help the children express their relationship with Jesus through songs, games, bible teaching, prayers & crafts. Xpress is held either directly after the Ten O'Clock Praise service in the Samworth Centre, or when there is no Ten O'Clock Praise, families meet in St. Mary's for the first 10 minutes or so of service with the rest of the church family, then the children depart for Xpress with Xpress leaders. Parents can feel free to stay in the service or accompany their children. We will then meet back at St. Mary's at the end of the service for parents to enjoy refreshments with their children.

Superheroes Holiday Club 3rd-7th August 2015
Join us for a week of fun mornings for children aged 5-11. This year's theme is "Superheroes"... is it a bird, is it a plane?
Click here for more details and here for registration form.
Our mini-holiday clubs for children are held throughout the year for children 5 - 11 and are much enjoyed by both the children and the helpers. Each one is themed and the location rotates across the Parish. In the summer, we hold a week-long club and then during the year, we have afternoon sessions. There are crafts, games, songs and Bible stories all centred on a theme.
At our 'Countdown' holiday club in November 2013, children enjoyed various activities including a dressing up your team leader challenge, a mime challenge, songs, a talk and refreshments before the children made envelopes to hang on our holiday club "Thank You Tree" at the Christmas Tree Festival. Inside the envelopes, each child wrote down one thing that they wanted to thank God for. When parents and grandparents arrived, they were invited to do the same.
A roaring success!

The latest Melton Team Parish Holiday Club was a roaring success in St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, with more than 70 children attending from Monday, August 4- Friday, August 8.
The church took on a jungle look for the Summer Safari themed bible-based club for the 5 ~ 11s.
The event ran all week from 9.30am until 12 pm and there will be a special Holiday Club Sunday service followed by coffee and cake at 10am on August 10.
To all who have helped, supported or in any way contributed either ‘up front’ or ‘backstage’ with this year’s Summer Safari Holiday Club and made it such a great success ~ thank you, we couldn’t have done it without you.
Helpers always needed!
If you would like to help at any of the events, please contact Dina Neale on 565798 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
