St Mary's Parish Church, Melton Mowbray

The Christmas Tree Festival in St. Mary’s Church, Melton Mowbray, the biggest in the country we believe, is now into its seventh year and it will run from 4th to 8th December. The church will be decorated with hundreds of trees and details of opening are:

Friday 4th December - 9.30am short opening service - 10am until 5pm
7.00pm wine and buffet in church lit by the tree lights.
Tickets £6.00 to be purchased in advance to assist with catering from Mary Browne (01664 851457) or from The Samworth Centre at St. Mary’s, 8 Burton Street, Melton Mowbray.

Saturday 5th December - 9.00am until 5pm
5.30pm family service
7.30pm choir concert

Sunday 6th December 9.30am until 5pm
6.30pm Songs of Praise with singing led by The Hathern Band.
Monday 7th December
9.00am until 8pm late night opening with mulled wine and mince pies available from 5pm

Tuesday 8th December 9am until 4pm
Entrance costs £2.00 only with accompanied children free. Last entry one hour before closing time.
Refreshments are available each day.


Organ Recitals - 2009

Lunchtime Organ Recitals

These recitals are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month throughout the year.
Admission is Free, the recitals commence at 1.10pm and the aim is to finish by 2.00pm.
Refreshments are ava ilable and a Retiring Collection is taken for the Church Organ Fund.
