The
committee tries to make itself aware of such areas and takes suggestions
to the DCC for consideration including charities to be supported particularly
at Christmas, Lent and Harvest. From time to time displays of relevant
material are mounted in church to promote awareness of such charities
and current issues needing support.

The
committee comissions articles in the Parish Magazine to promote awareness
of wider issues of concern including: The Suffering Church, Trade
Justice, Water Aid, Support for Local Farmers and Alzheimers. |

A
recent issue has been that of fairtrading and Fairtrade goods are
available for sale in Church and at the Tuesday Coffee Morning in
the Colles Hall. |

The
Care and Share Lunch was initiated several years ago and is now an
established event. Once a month many people who otherwise may be eating
their Sunday lunch alone join for food and fellowship. These lunches
are open to anyone who cares to come along. Regular members comment
how much they look forward to these times together. |
