The cakes went down a treat in St Mary's Church.
you've got a friend!
Friendship and fun were on the menu at the latest activities morning held in St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, on Saturday (February 10th).
The theme of the morning was Friendly February and there was lots of things to do connected with friendship on offer for all ages.
The ongoing Parish Patchwork was on show and was added to by Team Rector, the Revd Kevin Ashby, as well as lots of other friends who popped in during the morning. (The patchwork will be at most of our activities mornings if you would like to add to it).
There was chance to do crafts, make ‘chatty pegs’, make friendship bracelets and cards, cake decorating, Friendship Biscuits, face-painting, a friendship couples quiz, art, our usual quiz compiled by Len Hunter, a riddle table, a creative prayer area, giant games, and chance to learn lace making.
There was also chance to sit and read the day's papers or to chat with others over a cup of tea, coffee, juice and cake. The morning finished with a short act of worship.
*We would like to thank everyone who provided the beautiful cakes for the morning. They are greatly appreciated by those who help run the morning and by those who come along and eat them!

Our own Alice in Wonderland and a White Rabbit will also be making an appearance.
There will also be the usual crafts and art, chance to make Easter cards, face-painting, creative prayer area, art corner, plus lots of other activities and our usual short act of worship at the end.
Book the date.... Saturday, March 10th from 10.30am untill 12 noon in St Mary's Church. Everyone is welcome. Please note that all our activities mornings are FREE of charge.
Everyone was encouraged on Saturday to join hands across the world in the creative prayer corner run by Linda Pearson, who is pictured below, left.
