Mad for a fun morning

The latest Saturday activities morning proved a huge success in St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, on Saturday (March 10th).

More than 100 people came along, many in costume as their favourite character, as the theme of the morning was Mad March Makeover.

A wide range of activities, involving young and old, included face-painting and Easter card making. Tom Styles organised the football, which proved very popular, as was the chance to make a Mothering Sunday Posy, art, our riddle table, Prayer Area, giant and table top board games and the chance to make a square for our Parish Patchwork. Free refreshments included yummy egg decorated cakes.

In the 11.45 am act of worship, Revd Kevin Ashby, who came as Thunderbirds' Scott Tracey,  spoke of Jesus having a sense of humour.

If you missed the latest Saturday activities morning make sure you don't miss the next one on April 14th from 10.30am until 12 noon when the  theme will be Penguins on Parade.
