great to see Alma

It was great to have Alma Syla from Albania with us in Burton Lazars recently. Most of you will know about the Bee Project and some of the other projects Alma is involved with in the villages of Drenge and Bitaj, but it was great to hear about the work first hand and get the latest news.
Alma spoke at our St James’ Church Mothering Sunday Service where she shared something of her personal testimony.  Later in the week Alma was guest speaker at our Church Prayer Meeting held in my ‘Shack.’  This was an opportunity for Alma to share some impressions from the International Prayer Conference at Swanwick which she attended during her visit. The thing that challenged me most was Alma’s new desire to start regular prayer meetings for revival with her ladies groups when she got home. Maybe that is something for us to think about doing too?
On her last night with us around 20 of us got together at Pizza Express to enjoy a meal and say farewell. Alma’s deep faith and infectious enthusiasm was an inspiration and I am sure we will be hearing more in due course from her about the different projects she is involved with – plus a new project we are planning – but more of that another time!
Please continue to remember her in your prayers.
Thank you,
Janet King.
