All the fun of the Circus

Almost 60 children enjoyed all the fun of the circus at this year's Team Parish Holiday Club which ran from August 6th to 10th inside St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray.

The youngsters, aged between 5 and 11, and those who help with the annual event, enjoyed the Bible-based club which included activities, drama, songs, crafts and games and this year was set in a circus ring with the theme of Circus Shenanigans.

* A Team Parish Holiday Club Service was held in St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, on Sunday, 12th August and was a chance for members of the congregation to see what the children have been up to at this year's Holiday Club. It was also an opportunity to give their support to the leaders and helpers who have put in so much hard work during this year's event.

During the service some of the helpers took part a game of Wet Head. Each person put on a hat and pulled out some sticks until one of them got drenched. The results can be seen in the pictures below...

The Revd Kevin Ashby started the game ...

... and then it was Len Hunter's turn ...

... and then Ian Neale's ...

... and Dave Kitching's...

... before coming back to the Revd Ashby, who ended up being the one getting soaked!

Pictures below were taken on Thursday, August 9th.
