Harvest boost

On Saturday (October 6th) Church members and villages attended a Harvest Supper in Thorpe Arnold Village Hall. This comprised of sausage and mash followed by delicious hot or cold puddings.

All the meals were prepared and made by church wardens and members of the congregation and the evening was attended by Revd Dr Mary Barr and her husband John.

The following day many attended the Harvest Family Service in St Mary the Virgin Church, Thorpe  Arnold. The theme of Revd Mary Barr’s talk was on global warming and pollution of the world oceans. She said we can all our bit by using less plastic and do more recycling.

The church was filled with many flower arrangements, which looked great for the celebration of Harvest. In the last hymn we waved flags for Harvest and God'S gifts to us.
