The In Loving Remembrance tree in St Mary's Church.

Remembrance tree proves popular

One tree which is proving very popular as usual at the Christmas Tree Festival in St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, is the In Loving Remembrance one brought in by Central England Co-operative Funeral Care.

By the end of Monday (December 3rd) it was estimated that more than 2,000 In Loving Memory stars had been written on and then placed on the tree. Some people come into church just to put a star on the tree and to write a message of remembrance to a loved one.

And, although the Christmas Tree Festival ends on Tuesday, December 4th, this tree will remain in church until January 6th next year.
