Novices take their Promises

On March 2nd two Novices from The Community of The Tree of Life in Leicester - Isaac and Tom - took their Promises with 10 Companions, including myself and Andrew, and five of the six children, writes Trisha Nutter.

A congregation witnessed the Bishop conduct the service where we all promised:

• To live a life grounded by prayer, Scripture and solitude and be rooted in Christ;

• To live a life shaped by worship, reconciliation and Sabbath so that we can flourish through Christ;

• To live a life marked by justice, work and blessing to be fruitful for Christ.

We all received a cross with the Tree of Life on with the Abbot (Bishop Martyn) asking us to bear it humbly and faithfully.

We had a fun day and look forward to all the challenges in the months ahead.
