It was the latest in our monthly Saturday activities mornings and it proved an Awesome success.

We were very lucky to get a visit from our Awesome Superhero Batman and several children dressed as their favourite Superhero and had their pictures taken with him.

And, if that wasn't Awesome enough, we welcomed Melton Mowbray and District Astronomical Society's President Andy Atterbury and Secretary David Conner, who spoke about what they do and why Astronomy is so Awesome!

And, if that wasn't Awesome enough, members of Melton and District Model Club brought along some Awesome slot cars to race and one member brought along an Awesome model plane which he flew in the church. Awesome!

And, if that wasn't Awesome enough, we were joined by four members of Melton Police Cadets, who were on hand to help run some of our activities. We also had a visit from Melton Town Centre Police Community Support Officer Donna Varley.

Other Awesome things on offer was Awesome art for both children and adults, the chance to decorate some Awesome spaceship biscuits, chance to make some Awesome face masks and some Awesome rockets, chance to plant some Awesome seeds and take them home to grow, chance to take part in our quiz on Awesome things around the world, chance to make some Awesome bees, chance to bring along some Awesome jokes for our Awesome Joke Box, chance to get a new look with out Awesome face-painting, chance to play with our Awesome giant games and have a go at our Awesome Riddle Table.

There was also a chance to learn Awesome chess from our maestro Shaun Cope or to have a go at Awesome lace making. There was also our usual Awesome Creative Prayer Corner and Awesome storytelling session, and chance to take home a book in our Awesome Book Swap. Hattie the clown was also on hand to help make some Awesome giant bubbles.

There was also chance to enjoy an Awesome cake or tea, coffee or juice and sit and chat with others and the chance to read some of the day's Awesome newspapers.

Our Awesome morning finished with an Awesome short act of worship at 11.45am.

If you missed our event on Saturday don't worry, we have another Awesome Saturday activities morning on April 13th in St Mary's Church from 10.30am until 12noon, with the theme: "Easter Egg-stravaganza!" More details soon. Everyone is welcome.
