Having fun in St James' Church.

Family fun time

During Holy Week St James Church has been open from 12pm – 1pm for quiet reflection, writes Janet King.  Also on Tuesday, 16th April, we hosted a Family Easter Jubilation – Coffee morning with a difference as there were special children’s Easter activities led by Louisa Morris with help from her son Seb.

We were delighted to welcome children and their mums or grans and grandads who enjoyed not only the different activities, but meeting six delightful baby ducklings and Lucky the rabbit!
Cakes, biscuits and a variety of drinks were also served up and a good time was had by all!  We are especially grateful to Louisa for hobbling along to run the event despite a nasty fall a couple of days earlier which left her ‘Walking on Air!’  It is wonderful to be able to welcome children into St James' for these latest events aimed at families.  May there be many more of them!
