Concert a big success

A special Lunchtime Concert of Song proved a big success in St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, on Saturday, (April 27th).

The concert featured mezzo-soprano Ann Gregory ARSM and St Mary's Church Musical Director James Gutteridge, who was celebrating his birthday, on the piano and organ.

Admission was free and a retiring collection in aid of Dementia UK and the St Mary’s Church refurbishment project raised the magnificent sum of more than £155.

The concert featured, amongst others, the works of John Dowland, Antonin Dvorak, Franz Lehar, Antonio Vivaldi, Christoph Gluck, Rodgers and Hammerstein, J.S. Bach, Sandy Denny and Enya.
The pictures below were also taken at the concert.
