Renovation work completed
Some good news in the midst of such difficult times is that contractors MSM (Midland Stone Masonry Ltd) have completed the renovation work at St Mary the Virgin Church, Thorpe Arnold, writes Catherine Shenton.
They have replaced the north and south aisle roofs with stainless steel, renewed and improved all of the gutters and down pipes, relaid and improved the drainage, including two new soakaways and French drains around the church.
We are extremely grateful to them for the wonderful job they have done and for the fact that they were able to complete the work before the temporary closure of works due to the Coronavirus.
Thorpe Arnold Church would like to thank the following bodies for their most generous grants towards our repairs project. Without their support the project would not be possible.
