What we do

Thank you from the
family of Mary Manton

Philip and Maurice Manton and Linda Pearson (nee Manton) and families would like to say thank you to all for the oh so, so many beautiful comforting cards, and heartfelt messages sent in the loss of Mom (Mary), a special lady who will be sadly missed by many family and friends.

We know that so many of you would have wished to be there to say goodbye. But it gave us strength to accept what we could not change knowing that many were joining us in lighting a candle and offering prayer wherever they were on that day.

We would like to give special thanks to Revd Kevn Ashby and we know that he was disappointed not to be able to officiate at Mom's funeral, but we were also so very grateful to Revd Peter Hooper who stepped into the breach when Kevin was incapacitated (Mom would have approved).

We also give special thanks to Jenny Barnes and her team for their continued support and updating of ever changing funeral arrangements in these unprecedented and difficult times.

We were extremely grateful to those friends who provided flowers and foliage, with these and pieces from family and Mom's garden, they allowed for a very special personalised flower arrangement to be made by Sallyanne Mousley from the Flower Basin, even though they were closed due to lockdown. Grateful thanks to Sallyanne.

We give thanks from the bottom of our hearts and deeper to all who helped to make this day such a special occasion for the few allowed to be present.

We hope to hold a memorial service for Mom later in the year and fill the church with flowers and music and friends. In the meantime, stay well, stay home, stay safe.

X Linda Pearson.
