What we do

Prayer of the month - August

This month is traditionally summer holiday season. So let’s pray with another Psalm of David - adapting verses from Psalm 23  - and picking up Jesus own words about Himself in chapter 10 of John’s Gospel, to pray daily for each other:

Dear Lord, You care for Your people like a shepherd tending the flock.
Guide us to rest in green pastures;
lead us beside still waters;
refresh and restore our souls.
Help us to trust that Your goodness
and loving mercy will always be with us,
that we may dwell in Your presence for ever.
We pray in the name of Jesus, our Good Shepherd.
Amen.

The Revd Mary Barr.
