New furniture delivered to church

New pieces of furniture have just been delivered to St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, in memory of two long serving church members who are greatly missed.

The furniture, made by Tresk in Thirsk, consists of a Nave Altar and Lectern.

The Nave Altar is in memory of Mike McClure and the Lectern in memory of Andrew Nutter.

The insert fabrics are well under way and Juliet Hemingray is hoping to deliver these in early December.

It is hoped that if lockdown is lifted on December 2nd services will be able to be held in church, at which these items and other new furniture and fabrics can be dedicated.
