An Afternoon of Carols

On Saturday, December 19th, a socially distanced crowd gathered for an afternoon of carol singing interspersed with a few Christmas poems, thoughts and prayers in St Mary the Virgin churchyard, Thorpe Arnold.

Howard Partridge played the keyboard and led the service. It was a real tonic in these dark times, writes Catherine Shenton.

It was not possible to gather together to decorate the church this year. Instead, we have kept it simple with a few beautiful flower arrangements and the crib. Thank you to those who have prepared arrangements and dropped them into church.
