Furniture and furnishings dedicated 

New furniture and furnishings for St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, were dedicated at a Holy Communion Service on Sunday, April 18th. 

Amongst the new pieces of furniture, made by Tresk in Thirsk, are pieces in memory of two long serving church members who are greatly missed. The Nave Altar is in memory of Mike McClure and the Lectern in memory of Andrew Nutter.

The new furnishings have been made by Juliet Hemingray Church Textiles and the designs are based on several carvings in the choir pews. To read Juliet's thoughts on the work on the furnishings click HERE. 

All of the items which have been paid for have been completed and delivered to the church. There are still some items which we need donations for (perhaps in memory of someone?). These include a credence table; four altar rails; Nave Altar platform; two book stands; three server desks, two furniture moving dollies; a red High Altar Frontal, red, green and white South Transept Altar Super Frontals; red, green, white and purple Chasubles; red green, white and purple Pulpit Falls.
