new crownRoyal Wedding fever hit St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, on Saturday (May 19th) with a fun-filled morning for adults and children alike.
A steady stream of visitors came through the door to take part in a number of activities, to enjoy refreshments, including our alternative wedding cake pictured below, which was made by Marie Styles, and to to watch the wedding live on the big screen in the beautifully refurbished building. A family friendly day called Discovering Rural Gems, celebrating rural life, church and food, is being held at Brooksby Hall on Saturday, 9th June from 11am – 4pm.
Churches Together in Melton Mowbray are holding a Celebration of Unity on Thursday, 28th June, at 7.30pm at the Melton Baptist Church. Special guest speaker will be Chris Gatfield, founder of Dove Cottage Day Hospice.
