Holy Communion And Coronavirus

One of the things I’m really missing badly at the moment is regular worship with you in our churches across the Melton Team Parish, writes the Revd Mary Barr.

However, there is a way in which we can participate in Communion with Jesus Christ ‘spiritually.’ To find out more click HERE. Or you can view some video messages HERE and HERE.

I am also inviting people to join me at midday to pray for each of our Melton Team churches and their surrounding communities using the Time to pray app. To find out more click HERE.

*Watch a short extract from  the Bible Course - courtesy of Bible Society - which gives a great introduction to the events of the first Holy Week and Easter by clicking HERE. I'm hoping to run the whole Bible Course again when we can resume 'normal' activities.

*Melton Borough Council has set up a Community Support Hub to coordinate, help and support residents across the borough during the Coronavirus outbreak. To find out more click HERE.

*All donations for Storehouse that were left in St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, or Mary’s Place before the buildings closed have been delivered to Storehouse.

To find out how you can donate money so that items they need can still be purchased and to view a message from Storehouse Co-ordinator Caroline Stannard click HERE.

*To view a special edition of St James Blazers magazine click HERE.

This time last month weddings in Church were still allowed (just!) and we were looking at opening St Mary’s at particular times on particular days for prayer and reflection. How rapidly things have changed in this past month, writes the Revd Kevin Ashby.
