*If you missed the James Carpenter show on BBC Radio Leicester on Sunday morning (February 18th), when Melton Mowbray Team Parish Rector, the Revd Kevin Ashby, appeared giving his views on faith and comedy you can listen to the broadcast by clicking here. The Revd Ashby was interviewed, along with a local Imam. The recording took place in a Buddhist cafe in Leicester, honestly, I'm told, and it was hoped to also interview a local rabbi but his wife was away on Friday when the recording was made and he had to look after his nine children instead! 


lent small logoThe Melton Team Parish Lent Course this year will be “LiveLent - Let Your Light Shine.” We’re using the Church of England’s resource booklet, introduced by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, and Archbishop of York, John Sentamu, which follows a 6 week discipleship journey in 2018 through the Gospel of John, exploring what it means to be a witness.

Sixty people, including Team Rector, the Revd Kevin Ashby and his wife Alyson, pictured above, enjoyed the annual Pancake Supper held in Thorpe Arnold Village Hall on Shrove Tuesday and helped raise £510 for the Joliba Trust. For more details and pictures click here.
