Four-year-old Henry Dawson enjoyed his pancake in St Mary's Church on Monday.

Flippin' Marvellous effort!

More than 40 people braved the wet and windy weather on Monday (February 24th) to take part in a Big Pancake Party in St Mary’s Church, Melton Mowbray.

They enjoyed some delicious pancakes with a variety of toppings, plus tea or coffee, and helped raise the magnificent sum of £83.30 which will be sent to The Together Network in a bid to tackle food poverty.

Many thanks to our hard-working team of volunteers who helped on the day - Brian and Marilyn Wray, Marie Styles, Helen Solloway and Karen Balding - and to everyone who came along to support the event.

*The Together Network (part of the Church Urban Fund) wants to end hunger and is working towards this by supporting initiatives around the country such as ‘holiday-hunger’ schemes and community fridges. To find out more click here.
